IGP visits Zamfara, vows to prosecute killers of 41 indigenes

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ibrahim Idris, has vowed to conduct a thorough investigation into the recent killings in Zamfara state and ensure that the perpetrators are brought to book.

 

The Police chief visited the state today for an on the spot assessment of the sad event. Recall that on Wednesday February 14th, a clash between herdsmen and farmers resulted in the killing of 41 persons. 

 

The IGP during his visit met with the Emir of the affected community, Abubakar Muhammad and asked the people to assist the police in fishing out the perpetrators of the act.
