At the moment, there's a heavy presence of Mobile Policemen at both ends of the Lekki toll gates ahead of a planned protest against the recent increment in the toll fees.
Last night, the state police command issued a statement saying, 'while the Command recognizes the right of citizens to carry out peaceful protest, the police will not standby and watch protesters take laws into hands nor allow miscreants to hijack the protest'.
The protest was scheduled to kick off at 7am today but LIB reporters on ground reports that the organisers of the protest are just arriving and now the protest is scheduled to kick off at about 10am.
