Missing or ran away? Little boy missing for two days after being told he would be punished for allegedly stealing money

The kid pictured has been declared missing by his guardian in Awka, Anambra State capital.

According to Facebook user, Annie Ifunanya, he left home since Saturday evening at about 6:00pm and hasn't returned.Annie claimed that the boy stole some money and she only threatened to punish him.

"He stole money 
Actually........ But lied 
But later on 500
Was discovered from his school bag at about 2pm..... On Saturday 
No one touched him 
We only told him to bring out the remaining cash and he went to his room and brought it out from under the television in his room 
I only told him that he will be punished for Wat he did 
Knowing fully well the time that my big bro is going to return from work 
...he went out side the compound and told the little baby of the house following him...... that he want to check our generator at the mechanic shop so that the boy will stop following him
And Dats was what happened"

However, some  Facebook users said that the boy must have ran away because of the 'ill treatment' he has-been receiving from the family. See her posts and replies below...
